Actually, in some respect that's a good thing because it means I can continue using this as an exciting and truly open-ended question for student papers!

Peopling of the Americas - an update
I said I would post an update here on research relating to the peopling of the Americas. I did attend the Symposium on Human Origins in Santa Barbara... it was fascinating but unfortunately the topic of most interest to me - the Kelp Highway theory - came in as... inconclusive. Still TBD. More research required.
